30 Days of Kink: Getting Back Into It

July 2, 2014

Whether you consider it a writing exercise or a fun way to explore, for better or worse, I am doing 30 days of kink. Without further adieu:

Day 1: Dom, sub, switch?  What parts of BDSM interest you?  Give us an interesting in-depth definition of what that means to you. Basically define your kinky self for us.
Switch all the way, although I am strictly a top with women (never say never, but I’ve never met a woman that inspired my sub side). Overall, however, I like to play with power dynamics, language, and various scenarios as well as enjoying the more sensual side. If there is no chemistry, then what is the point?
It doesn’t even have to be physical – you can do just as much with words, hands, or your tongue as you can with a crop or flogger – or much more. It’s a mental thing. I like to play with control and different scenarios, and I do like to give and receive – just depends on the situation. I’m a writer and performer to the end – hell, I’m former serious figure skater, member of Team USA, and played many different roles on the ice, and I love translating that other places as well. That said, I do still think the most powerful thing that two (or maybe more) people can do is communicate what really turns them – honesty is sexy in general, whether BDSM is involved or not.
That said, many aspects of the overall power dynamics of BDSM and how they are tied into sex in general intrigue me on an intellectual level. To use myself as an example, sometimes I want to take control and be pleasured by sitting on my partner’s face until I come (and come, and come) or have them play me with me and my toys for hours, but other times I want the delicious pain or even humiliation of being spanked, called names, used like a good slut, or worse (or better, depending on your definitions).
And I’m looking forward to starting this blog and Twitter account again – follow, read, and enjoy!
